Born in Montreal in 1979, Jonas Tomalty has been a musical talent on the scene since his teens. He founded Rubberman, an alternative band that won L’Esprit in 1999. He excels in solo rock and blues with The Blues Blooded. Jonas distinguished himself at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and won the LYS Blues Award in 2003.
2004 saw the start of his international career with his first solo album, supported by tours with Van Halen and collaborations with Steven Tyler. His performance of “Edge of Seventeen” was acclaimed, earning him a Juno nomination.Suite Life, his second album in 2006, was a notable success, as was his 2007 Bell Centre concert, immortalized in the DVD “Live at the Bell Centre”, and the documentary “Jonas: La Quête”.
From 2010 to 2017, Jonas & the Massive Attraction dominated the rock scene with three albums, including “Big Slice”, ranked #2 on Canadian rock radio.In 2021, Jonas reinstated his family name for his album “Undivided”, the fruit of inspiring travels through New Orleans, Los Angeles, Toronto and Nashville. With 25 years of experience in the artistic field, Eric Harvey is a major talent on the Quebec music scene. Singer-songwriter and member of several musical groups across Quebec, including Metallica, 80’s band, Blues Trio, he offers an exceptional acoustic show, skilfully blending genres such as pop, Québécois, 80s hits, country and much more.
Quebec-born ZAïKA is a multi-talented artist who began wowing local stages at the age of 7.
ZAïKA made her first TV appearances at the age of 14. At the age of 19, she flew to Morocco for 3 months, where she played to packed houses. With a voice that’s both rock and melody, and a charismatic presence, she lights up every stage she visits.
In 2019, she embarks on one of the most remarkable American tours as a backing singer: The Wall Extravaganza. In 2022, she writes a musical that gives her a fresh perspective and renewed vision. On stage, Ariane moves and loves to make people sing. She stands out for her contagious energy and magnetism. Moving from spirituality to lighter lyrics, Ariane knows how to convey her messages and reach people through the simplicity of her words. Having explored organic pop and electronic music in her early work, she now turns to R&B and funk-influenced songs. Recent releases such as “Version de toi”, “Toi & Moi” and “Laisse-moi tranquille” embody this new musical direction.
The singer-songwriter’s hard work has taken her all the way to the semi-finals of the 55th edition of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby and the 30th edition of Ma Première Place des Arts. To this day, Ariane ardently pursues her quest for recognition through her live performances and her participation in competitions. Judy Ann, singer-songwriter, began her career at the age of 10, taking singing and piano lessons since childhood. Accompanied by a band formed by her father, she toured for 5 years across Quebec and Ontario, sharing the stage with renowned groups such as Corbeau.
At the age of 22, she took a break from touring to concentrate on writing, forming a very popular duo for 6 years. In 1995, she released her eponymous solo album, which enjoyed notable success in Canada and abroad, with tours in France and airplay in the United States.
With a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, Judy Ann collaborates with Aldo Nova and Sony Music, lending her voice to several albums for emerging artists. At the same time, she teaches music in public schools and continues to perform on stage.
Currently, she shares the stage with the Triple Threat Blues Band, Made in Canada and pays tribute to Janis Joplin with a group of talented musicians. Pako, a talented singer-songwriter from the Atikamekw community of Manawan (Lanaudière region, Quebec), skilfully blends folk-rock with his native Atikamekw language, addressing powerful themes such as the importance of language, the values and history of his community, identity, the environment, human relationships and hope for a better life.
Thanks to his skillful guitar playing and captivating stage performances, Pako has won over audiences at prestigious festivals in Quebec, Switzerland and Australia. He has also collaborated with renowned artists such as Maten, Ninan, Shauit, Claude McKenzie, Florent Vollant and Scott-Pien Picard, to name but a few.
His new studio album, “”Nanto“”, recorded at the renowned Makusham studio in collaboration with his friend Florent Vollant and producer Réjean Bouchard, as well as mixer Hugo Perreault, promises to be a true masterpiece. Eagerly awaited, “”Nanto“” is scheduled for release on March 31, 2023, signed to the Makusham Musique label. It’s a must-have if you want to discover Pako’s deeply inspiring musical universe. Since his first solo album in 2011, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in French rap, and has won several awards. His 2013 album “Perles et Paraboles” earned him seven Prix Trille Or nominations and the Édith-Butler award from SPACQ. In 2016, “Lapsus” propelled him beyond borders, receiving nominations and winning awards in Canada. In 2019, he took home several awards at the Prix Trille Or, including Artist of the Year. In recognition of his community involvement, he received the Senate Commemorative Medal in 2017 and the Artist Educator Award from the Ontario Arts Foundation in 2018. For over twenty-five years, Paul Piché has been one of the leading figures on the Quebec music scene, with a frank and direct poetry that captures the essence of our cultural heritage. His songs touch on important social themes as well as the joys and sorrows of love, always with remarkable sincerity and finesse.
Right from his debut in 1976, his first album, “À qui appartient le beau temps?”, made Quebec chanson history, selling over 100,000 copies. Since then, he has racked up the hits and performed at numerous festivals in Quebec and abroad, in France, Belgium and Switzerland.
Over the years, Paul Piché has recorded several albums to critical and public acclaim, including “L’escalier” and “Nouvelles d’Europe” in 1986, followed by “Sur le chemin des incendies” in 1988. His career was punctuated by memorable moments, such as his performances in Montreal in 1989, where he set several of the city’s major venues alight.
In 1990, Paul Piché was honored at the FrancoFolies de Montréal and named Personality of the Year by La Presse in the Chanson category. His commitment to social causes, such as saving Quebec’s rivers, has also marked his career.
His return to the stage in 1999 with the album “Le Voyage” was greeted with enthusiasm, and he has continued to captivate audiences with his intimate, committed shows. His latest album, “Je pense à toi”, released in 2009, marks his comeback, offering a fresh dose of sincerity, generosity and hope to his loyal fans. For over 15 years, Mélissa Ouimet, a Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter, has been lighting up the stages of Quebec and French-speaking Canada. In 2016, she released her self-titled debut album on Musicor, followed by a first self-produced EP, “Amours jetables”, in 2018, awarded the “chanson primée” prize at the Trille Or awards for the single of the same name. In 2018, as a proud representative of Francophone communities outside Quebec, she unites several voices in the Franco-Ontarian struggle against anti-Francophone measures with her song “Personne ne pourra m’arrêter”, now an anthem of Franco-Ontarian resistance. In 2019, she took part in La Voix, reaching the quarter-finals. In spring 2022, she releases the “Sans tomber” EP, accompanied by a short film broadcast on TFO. The title track is selected by TVA to promote the series “Chicago Fire”. In 2023, with 6 nominations at the Gala Trille Or, Mélissa Ouimet is at her peak as a singer-songwriter.
